

Rosemary Coyne Girardot passed away in Austin, TX on Good Friday morning, April 6, 2012 surrounded by family and friends. This "35 year old" woman was born in 1927 in Madison, Wisconsin to John and Mabel Coyne.
A woman of laughter, joy, wit and holy wisdom, she served the church, her family, and the community with tireless energy and enthusiasm. Known and loved as a mother, teacher, director, musician, and friend to many, she always had a witty story and a piece of wisdom for anyone who needed it.
Rosemary was an accomplished vocalist, violinist, violist and choral conductor in Madison, WI, Akron, OH, Arlington, TX and Austin, TX and received a degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Wisconsin. She married Dr. Peter R Girardot of Detroit, Michigan in 1953 and successfully raised 7 children who sang and played in her choirs.
She served as soprano in the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra Chorus under Robert Shaw from 1957-1960, violist and president of the Fort Worth Civic Orchestra, member of many choral and orchestra groups in Arlington and Austin, director of music ministry at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church for 20 years, and a choir director at St. Matthews and Most Blessed Sacrament (Arlington) and St. Theresa Catholic Church (Austin).
She is survived by 7 children (Suzanne, Laura, Toni, Daniel, Martha, Chris and Tim) and 11 grandchildren.
