Ruth was a friend of long standing.  We worked closely for about 12 years in the DAVA, Department of Texas.  My prayers go out to her survivors.

I met Sam and Ruth in the middle 1970's while working in the Disabled American Veterans and Auxiliary. both of whom, in addition to their VA Volunteer work, served as Commander's of the DAV and the DAVA, State Department(s).  I will miss seeing her from time to time.

Ruth was a great person and a friend of the veterans. She and Sam gave many, many hours volunteering at the VA Clinic in Austin and the VA Hospital in Temple.
Her life made a difference in many veterans lives

Ruth and I along with her husband Sam worked at the VA Clinic in Austin as Volunteers for many years.  She worked very hard to ensure the Volunteer Office was one of the best in the VA system.  Rest in Peace Ruth true and faithful servant.
