Ruth Ellen Norman

Ruth Ellen McCorquodale Norman entered the gates of heaven on March 21, 2013 at 10am. Ruth Ellen was born on July 11, 1920 in Quincy, Florida to Mary E. and Malcolm E. McCorquodale. Ruth Ellen loved the Lord with all of her heart and loved each person she came in contact with. She was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Austin for over 20 years. She lived her last days in pain but handled them with grace and dignity. Ruth Ellen loved her church Covenant Presbyterian and loved playing bridge in many different bridge groups.

Ruth Ellen is preceded in death by her husband T. A. Norman, brother Lawson McCorquodale, sister Grace Penn, and sister Mary Emma Munson. Left behind to cherish her memories are daughter Nancy French; son and wife Wayne and Allison Norman; grandchildren Trent Norman, and Angela Zachry; great granddaughters Alysa Zachry and Jaelyn Zachry.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to her many friends in the Austin community and the many members of Covenant Presbyterian Church who visited mother daily in the last months of her life. Ruth Ellen was loved by many and will be missed by all. A memorial service will be at 2pm Wednesday March 27th at Covenant Presbyterian Church.
