

Sandra Gail Bybee Sandra Gail Bybee, age 63, died Saturday, May 22nd, 2004 at her home in Austin. She was born in Houston, TX on August 22, 1940 to Eldon and Benetta Bybee. Sandra passed away after a short battle with lung cancer. Sandra was a journalist and a writer and loved the power of the written word. She has worked for many different newspapers in the Round Rock, Houston and Los Angeles areas. She was active in her church, First United Methodist, and served the homeless with Mobile Loaves and Fishes. She was a member of the Writers League of Austin and devoted her time to writing novels and short stories. She was an inspiring woman who left many friends and loved ones behind. She is survived by one daughter, Hannah Hedgpeth and husband Darrell and two granddaughters Shelby Anne and Emma Gail; her sister, MarySusan Lindholm and husband Bob, and four nephews, Michael, Larry, Rusty and Raymond Lindholm; also numerous cousins and extended family members. Memorial Services will be held at First United Methodist Church at 1201 Lavaca, Austin Texas 78701 on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. followed by a burial at Austin Memorial Park. Donations can be made to the Sandra Bybee Memorial Fund at First United Methodist Church to benefit the Mobile Loaves and Fishes Organization, Hospice Austin, and the American Cancer Society.
