

He attended high school in Glens Fall New York and graduated from Hartwick College. Scott was a founding member of Vantage Computer Systems which later became CSC where he was a key architect of the Vantage One Insurance System. During this time he was able to travel the world including South Africa, Japan, Germany and most of the Western Hemisphere. He retired from CSC in 2007 and pursued his true passion of sailing the Caribbean as an active member of the Island Windjammers Sailing Company.
Scott is preceded in death by his father Eugene Lemke and mother and step-father Betty Jane and Peter Macfarlane. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Becky Lemke, two children Eric Lemke and fiancée Whitney Dark, Kristen Hawkins and husband Ryan Hawkins; two grandchildren Ryan and Jamie Lemke, a sister Linda Moran and husband Dean Moran, and step-sister Ellen Fischer and husband Bob Fischer. Scott is also survived by a multitude of loving friends whose lives were touched throughout his fulfilling life.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills in Austin, Texas.
According to his wishes his ashes will be scattered into the Caribbean Sea off Bequia Island in the Grenadines.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Scott’s name to the Outer Banks Lighthouse Society or The Children’s School on Mayreau in the Grenadines.
