Selma Maxine Dunn

Visitation 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress Ave. Austin, Texas 78704.

Graveside rites will be Thursday at 11:00 am, at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.

Selma left North Carolina shortly after graduation and lived in Detroit, Michigan, Corvallis, Oregon, Los Angeles, California, and the Houston Bay Area, where she met and later married Haskell J. Dunn Jr. She initially worked in the growing space industry; however, she ultimately chose the career of a homemaker.

Selma enjoyed traveling, and she had the opportunity to visit multiple world fairs, Hawaii, St. Croix, Australia, Mexico and various amazing cities and states across America.

The ultimate conversationalist, Selma loved to meet new people and talk about her greatest achievement, her loyal and loving daughter, Cheryl. Selma will be remembered for her strong convictions and her unwavering, dedicated love to her family.

Selma is survived by her daughter, Cheryl L. Dunn; daughter-in-law, Eileen Dunn; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
