

Sue was born and reared in Philadelphia, PA. After high school, Sue completed her Medical Lab Technician training at Hahnemann Medical College of Clinical Pathology. She served as a lab technician in various civilian capacities in industry before and after WWII and with the Army Sue used her medical lab technician skills to train Medical Corps soldiers during WWII. Sue was also proud to work as a "Rosie the Riveter" assembling aircraft at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. Sue and Bart were married in 1943 and traveled with his career to Washington State, Japan, Arizona, New Jersey, Virginia, Canada and eventually landing in Texas. They were together until his death in 2008. Sue loved and nurtured her children, leading them in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts guiding them into adulthood. Sue held strong to her faith and was active in the Catholic Ladies groups where ever she lived, most recently at Bergstrom AFB and St Paul's. She loved working with flowers, gardening, and supporting her Longhorns and Cowboys no matter their standing.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband Bart, son Bart Jr., and son-in-law Darrell Wilson. Survivors include her son Dan and wife AnnDee of Georgia; daughter Karen Robertson and husband Marty of Fredericksburg; daughter Terri Wilson of Austin; daughter-in-law Carole Botta of Austin; brother Alphonse DiGiacomo of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Bart Botta III; Jeff Botta and wife Nina; Ben Botta and wife Sarah; Anthony Robertson, wife Kimberly and great-grandson Reuben; Tish Nuelken and husband Adam; Charles Robertson and wife Kristin; Doug Wilson and wife Ashley; Jessie Wilson; and Louis Robertson; brother-in-law Leo, cousin Ana Marie Nasuti, numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends. Sue will be greatly missed.
A Rosary will be held Thursday, 7:00 pm December 29, 2011 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home on South Congress, with a Memorial Mass celebration Friday, 11:00 am December 30, 2011 at St Paul Catholic Church.
Sue's family would like to express their appreciation for the care provided Sue by A-Med Hospice, the friendship of Father James Martin, Father Barry Cabell, Margaret and Vince Hoff, and many others.
