She was born Oct. 16, 1960, to Janet Bengtson Warren and George Warren in Columbus, Ohio. She soon moved to Texas, where she lived most of her life. She went to Houston's Northbrook High School and also Austin Community College. "Suzie" as her family called her, was an avid reader and autodidact. She learned more by doing her own research than attending schools. She proudly worked as an assistant to the love of her life, attorney and accountant John Scott, who passed in 2011.
Suzie pursued life with passion. She followed her partner to France where he worked for several years. Her image was in a painting of the Arc De Triomphe in Paris after she spent many hours handing out coffee to artists while she smoked. Suzie had long, flowing strawberry blonde hair and was an eye-catching, graceful woman. When she returned to the States, Suzie along with her son Stephen and partner John grew an award-winning organic garden in Austin in the early 2000s. Suzie was always lucky. As a child, she won the cake walk so many times in a row they made her stop. But she was deeply generous, following the Japanese custom of giving to guests any possession they admired. She never knew a stranger and was loving and caring of those around her, especially her son. She also was part engineer, easily figuring out machinery and also jigsaw puzzles.
Jesus Christ was her Lord and Savior as she tried to live as Jesus would want. She was preceded in death by her parents and John Scott.
She is survived by her loving family: stepfather John Young of Manor; son Stephen Clifton of Austin; siblings George Warren, Janet Warren and Ann Warren; grandchildren Connor Clifton, Molly Clifton and Jacob Clifton, all of Austin; aunt Judith Cross of Austin and many cousins and nieces and nephews.
Instead of flowers, donations are encouraged for animal rescues as she adored dogs and cats.

She will be dearly missed by all!
