Thelma Glosson Moore

Thelma was born on October 16, 1908 in Dripping Springs, Texas to Solon and Lou Glosson. Upon graduation from Dripping Springs High School, Thelma began a long and faithful career at the Austin State School where she met her husband Doyle J. Moore. Thelma and Doyle were married October 5, 1932, after their marriage they resided in Austin, Texas and in 1952 they purchased a new home on West 45th Street. Thelma and Doyle worked for the Austin State School for many years. Thelma retired in 1978 after over 50 years of dedicated service. Thelma was a very independent lady, in her retirement years she decided to learn to bowl. She bowled several perfect games and continued bowling well into her 90's. Thelma lived alone in her home on 45th Street until her 103 birthday when she suffered a fall. She spent the last months at Stonebridge Health Care Center.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, Solon and Lou Glosson , her husband Doyle Moore, her siblings, Jim Glosson, John Glosson, Pete Glosson, Merle Shelton, Gale Collins, J.L. Glosson and Solon D. Glosson, and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Phillips Cemetery, Dripping Springs, Texas on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 2:00 PM.
