Theresa Shomsky

Terry was born in March 1935 to Gertrude and Jertinius (John) Havnen in Wisconsin. After graduating from high school, she went on to study at Marquette University (Milwaukee) where she met the man who would become her husband, Peter (Pete) Shomsky.

Terry and Pete wed in 1957. They settled in Texas in the early 1960s where they raised both of their daughters, Stacy and Trudy. Upon the birth of her granddaughter, Kari, in 2007, she moved to Arizona.

Terry was predeceased by her husband, both of her parents and one sister, Barbara Havnen. She is survived by her daughter Stacy Broussard and husband Scott and her daughter Trudy Miller, husband Reece and granddaughter Kari. Her siblings Richard Havnen, Marty Havnen (Kathy), Jan Finley, John Havnen (Carol) and numerous nieces and nephews survive her.

A graveside service for immediate family is planned for Tuesday, August 31, 2021.
