

Thomas E. Manley, 75, passed away peacefully at his home on November 25, 2014 in Austin, Texas after a lengthy illness. He was born and grew up in Bayonne, New Jersey and was very proud of his Bayonne heritage. He started dating Barbara, his high school sweetheart in 1956 when he was 17 and she was 15. They were married in 1961 and had four sons together.
Tom received his B.S. in Accounting from St Peter's College and his M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He later earned his CPA. Tom began his professional life at Price Waterhouse, and then spent the majority of his career at IBM. After retiring from IBM in 1995, he spent the remainder of his professional days at the Texas Education Agency.
Tom was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church for 37 years. He was very proud of his sons and enjoyed spending time with them and their families. Tom was always happiest when surrounded by his family whether it be at ball games, traveling, or one of his many vacations at Disney World. Tom was known to have a quick wit and regularly made people laugh with his sense of humor.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Barbara, and their four sons, Tom and his wife Kimberli, Gary and his wife Pam, Brian and his wife Tina, Mike and his wife Vanessa, and nine cherished grandchildren, Christina, Nicole, Alexa, Leah, Braxton, Zach, Cayce, Mitchell, and Brooklyn Manley. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Jack and Marge Manley and their four sons.
Tom will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

A formal visitation with the family will be held from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm in the evening, on Friday, the 28th of November 2014, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm that evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am in the morning on Saturday, the 29th of November 2014, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 4311 Small Drive, Austin, Texas 78731. Interment will follow in Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
