

Thomas Vaughn “T.V.” Minner died on April 4, 2022, at the age of 97. T.V. was born on July 20, 1924, in Ripley, Tennessee, to parents, Elbert and Fannie Minner. The family farmed cotton and moved to southeast Missouri when T.V. was five years of age. He graduated from Deering High School in Deering, Missouri in 1943. Soon after, he joined the service as an U.S. Army Air Corps Cadet. When WWII was over, he began his salesman career with Firestone, Oliver, Miller Brewing Company, and Duo-Fast of Texas, moving him from Missouri to Tennessee, Georgia, and finally Texas.
As a traveling salesman, he happened upon Kennett, Missouri, where he met the love of his life, Mossy Dell Hamilton, when she was teaching school. The couple were blessed to be together for 64 years of marriage.
They have enjoyed 47 years of living in the Austin area and being a part of Bethany United Methodist Church and Austin Christian Bass Club. T.V. was an avid fisherman with many trophies to show for it.
T.V. was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Fannie Minner; his two sisters, Thelma Martin and Nina Morisseau; and his two brothers, Roy Minner and Lucian Minner. He is survived by his wife, Mossy; son, Tommy and Toni Minner; daughter, Gigi & Gaines Magee; grandsons, Chris & Larissa Minner; Denson & Katy Minner; Patrick & Meagan Magee; and Blair & Erica Magee; and great grandchildren, Nicholas Oliver Minner, Gaines Arthur Magee V, and Colt Hamilton Magee.
Pallbearers are his grandsons, and honorary pallbearers are members of Austin Christian Bass Club, Art Cruiser, and Robert Goodwin.
