

Timothy Kimball Underhill, 56, son of Wanda Kuehler, passed away peacefully Christmas morning in the Seguin- Stockdale area, where he had been living for a number of years. Tim was born in Houston September 10, 1954. His parents were Dan Moody and Wanda Underhill. After his father’s death in an accident in 1961, and his mother’s remarriage in 1966 to Paul Kuehler, the family moved to Stamford, CT, where Paul commuted into the city for his job with Exxon. After his retirement, the family moved to Austin. Paul died in 2000. Tim worked as printer and was with Lone Star Printing of Seguin for many years. During his marriage to Karen Eckols, he was the father of three sons: Dan Moody Underhill, and twins Nickolas Lee and James Andrew Underhill, whom he loved very much. Tim loved to hunt and fish and took a number of camping trips. He enjoyed a cruise to Alaska and also visited Cancun, Acapulco, Las Vegas, Disney World, etc. He liked to watch certain TV shows and woe be it if you called during those shows. He particularly liked to watch the poker games, Judge Judy and Wheel of Fortune. He also kept up with the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs. He called his mother every evening.
He is survived by his mother, Wanda Thompson Kuehler of Austin; his three sons, Dan, Nick, and James; his former wife, Karen Eckols, who took care of him after he was with Guadalupe Regional Hospice; his step-sisters, Paula Kuehler of Austin, and Kathleen Gray and her husband, Robert, of Longmeadow, MA; his stepbrother, Gerald Kuehler and his wife, Elayne, of Baton Rouge, LA; uncle, Kyle Underhill and his wife, Elizabeth, of Crowley, TX; aunt, Thalia Underhill Kilgo and her husband, Carter of Hideaway, TX; uncle, Frank Thompson and his wife, Sandra, of Lubbock; and aunt, Bobbie Thompson Beverung of Ft. Worth; a number of cousins and friends. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock to seven o’clock in the evening on Monday, the 27th of December, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin. Funeral Services will be conducted at five o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 28th of December, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin with Rev. Floyd Vick from Bethany United Methodist Church officiating. A reception with catering provided by the family and Cook-Walden Funeral Home will follow the service. Graveside services will be private.
