Tina Jean Latham of Manchaca, Texas died peacefully early morning on Tuesday, February 10th, 2026 at the age of 71 after being diagnosed with cancer in October of 2025. Her life was well lived and she will be dearly missed.
Tina was born in El Dorado, Arkansas on October 13th, 1954. Tina's father, Leonard Tucker worked in the oil field supply business which provided a stable income for the family, allowing her mother, Joy, to be at home with the five children. The family moved frequently, living in Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas. Tina experienced schooling in all of these states, finally calling Texas her "home". She was particularly fond of Austin, and called Austin "my town"! She and her previous husband, Tom Hendrix, raised their two children in the Austin area. She later met and married Eddie, settling with him in Manchaca Texas, where she assisted him with his business and maintained their beautiful home where they enjoyed gardening. Tina loved the towering oaks trees, all the plants and flowers and every living critter that visited, especially the deer. She had a green thumb and was always sprouting plants and sharing them with friends and family. Tina loved driving her Longhorn Orange Cadillac that Eddie bought her. Her neighbors called her the "Orange Streak" and it was easily recognized all over town.
Tina worked at Adams Extract and Jardine's prior to meeting and marrying Eddie. Upon Eddie's passing, Tina assumed the real estate business, which consumed most of her time and energy.
Tina fondly remembered a train trip with her sister, Glenda (age 10), traveling alone to visit Grandparents in Oklahoma when she was only SEVEN years old. She remembered running up and down the aisles for almost the entire trip! That love of travel continued throughout her life. As children, the family made many road trips to visit grandparents in Oklahoma. She and Eddie traveled often to Cabo and the Outer Banks, where they loved deep-sea fishing, and Colorado, where they skied. And many trips with her children, grandchildren and family.
Tina's favorite food was Mexican food, and she was known to carry a small bottle of "Cholula" sauce in her purse! Appropriate because she loved Mexico. Her favorite color was teal. She loved the art of Dr. Seuss. She was an excellent photographer and accomplished artist with an eye for detail and composition. She enjoyed reading, was generous to all, and lifted the spirits of others with her quirky sense of humor.
Tina was preceded in death by her husband, James Eddie Latham; her father, Leonard Earl Tucker; mother, Joy Lee Kreger; and her brother, Christopher Glenn Tucker.
Tina is survived by her son, Brendon Hendrix; daughter, Brook Greenberg and husband, Brandon Greenberg, and was blessed with their two daughters; granddaughters, Presley Faith and Sawyer Grace Greenberg.
