Tina Joan Turner, of Austin, born January 21, 1947, died unexpectedly Thursday, October 27. She is preceded in death by her father and three brothers. Ms. Turner is survived in death by her mother; four siblings; one daughter; and her beloved miniature dachshunds. Tina was a loving mother and gave generously of herself volunteering in her community for over a decade. Among other efforts, she served on the GoForth Water Supply Board, assisted with the Star Texas Fair and Rodeo and acted as a leader in the foreign exchange student program, sponsoring several high school students in her own familys home. Graduating from Sam Houston State University, she loved her home state of Texas and chose a career working in various state agencies. Called, now, to serve a higher cause, she will be dearly missed by her many loved ones and the lives she touched.
