Tommie Elizabeth Hill, age 82, of Austin passed away Wednesday, February 06, 2008. She was a lifetime resident of Austin, Texas and very active with her church and the deaf community. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy B. Hill; and daughter, Peggy Lois Lozano. Tommie is survived by her daughters, Marsha Whitley and husband Carl, Debbie Sherwood and husband Larry; brothers, Eugene G. Johnson and wife Zelma, Richard L. Johnson and wife Nelda, Pete Johnson and wife Caroline; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. The family would like to express sincere heartfelt thanks to the staff at St. David's Hospital, 4 west. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to "The Ministry for the Deaf at Christian Life Church." Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Friday, February 8, 2008 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Christian Life Church. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
