Vera L. Martinez

Vera Martinez, age 86, of Buda, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025. She was born August 10, 1938 in Seguin, Tx to Cecelio Luna and Lilly Losanna.

Vera loved gardening, traveling, and going to the casino. She enjoyed spending time with her family and the love of her life, Mack Martinez Jr. She also enjoyed laughing and having a good time with her friends. She loved her Longhorns.

She is survived by her husband Mack Martinez Jr of 50 glorious years, her daughter Angie Vasquez, her son Steven Vasquez, her daughter Jackie Casias (Martin Casias Jr), her grandchildren Stacey Martinez and Martin Casias III, great-grandchildren Brandon Martinez and Scarlet Rose Martinez, stepsons Mack Martinez III, Ernest Martinez, and stepdaughter Eydie Martinez.

A visitation for Vera will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704, with a recitation of holy rosary at 7:00 PM. A funeral Mass will occur Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704. A funeral service will begin at 11 AM. A committal service will occur Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S I-35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78704.
