

Virginia Graham Tully Neptune, 93, of Pflugerville, Texas died Tuesday, August 28, 2007. She was born on June 24, 1914, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, the third child of Daniel Lewis Tully and Mary Virginia McIver Tully. Virginia received her education from St. Scholastics Catholic School in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. In 1935, she married Everett Brown Neptune in Okmulgee, where they lived until 1948. They relocated to Old Ocean, Texas, when her husband was transferred to the Sweeny Phillips 66 Refinery. Her husband, Everett, died in 1972, and Virginia moved to The Woodlands, Texas, to be closer to her family. Virginia worked for Foleys and was very active in the Catholic Church while finding time for her favorite card games, bridge and canasta. In 2002, Virginia moved to Pflugerville to be closer to her three children and their families. Virginia loved to travel and was an avid sports fan. During her lifetime, she cheered for the Okmulgee Bulldogs, Sweeny Bulldogs, Texas Lutheran University Bulldogs and the Westlake Chaparrals. She lived long enough to enjoy seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Virginia will be remembered as a gentle person who had a sweet and wonderful smile and loved her family very much. She considered her family her greatest achievement. Virginia is survived by her son, Everett Ebbie Brown Neptune, Jr., and daughter-in-law Mary Sue; daughters Linda Kay Smith and Diane Sue Krafka; grandchildren Rebecca Neptune Gibson and husband Scott; Elizabeth Neptune Dodge and husband Todd; Stephanie Smith Derrick and husband Dave; Laura Krafka Barrios and husband Noé; Rachel Krafka Suiter and husband Jimmy; Charles Everett Krafka and wife Meghan; Katherine Krafka Maloy and husband Hunter; sister Betty Ann Kepler; and a very special nephew Claude Gibson; sixteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Everett Neptune; parents Daniel Lewis and Mary Virginia Tully; sisters, Leona Gibson and Louise Abbott; and son-in-law Leonard Smith. Virginias son, Ebbie, will not be able to attend Saturdays services as he is in McKinney, Texas, recovering from a stroke. He and Mary Sue, with his family, will celebrate a Memorial Mass to honor his mother at a later date in McKinney. The viewing will be held on Friday, August 31st at Weed-Corley-Fish from 6-8 p.m. The funeral Mass, a celebration of Virginias life, will be on Saturday, September 1st at St. Elizabeths Catholic Church, 1520 North Railroad Ave., Pflugerville, TX 78660 at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held following the funeral service at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Van Vleck, Texas, where Virginia will be buried next to her husband.
