Wanda was predeceased by her parents, her husband, E.J. Piland, and her son, Chris Piland.
She is survived by her sons James Piland of Anchorage, Alaska, Kelly Piland of Austin, and Brad Piland of Anchorage; her brothers, Claude Sternberg of Anchorage, Mike Sternberg of Georgia, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at Bateman Cemetery, CR 86 and Hwy 20 in Bastrop County on Tuesday, September 2 at 2:30 pm under the direction of Cook Walden Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, Lockhart, Texas.
