She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Tereso Rodriguez; her parents, Victor and Paz Melendez Polanco; and brothers, Victor and Lee Polanco. She is survived by her son, Tereso (Teddy); Rodriguez Jr. and wife Shana; daughter Sandra Lewis and husband Michael; sister Josephine Juarez and brother, George Polanco; grandchildren, Nicholas Tereso and Matthew Ryan Rodriguez (along with their mother Lana Rodriguez), Megan Paz Gillespie, Jacob Andrew Lewis, and James Michael Lewis; great-granddaughter Elyana Teresa Gillespie.
A visitation for Wanda will be held Monday, January 30, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a recitation of the holy rosary taking place at 7:00 PM at Weed-Corley-Fish South Chapel, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas 78704. There will be a mass of christian burial on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church, 126 W. Oltorf, Austin, Texas 78704 followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S IH 35, Austin, Texas 78704.
