
Dear Family, 
I've never met Mr. Lindner,  but my dad and I knew his ice cream well.  When I was a little girl, in the 70's my father would stop into Lindner's  for Lindners lemon ice cream.  It was the only place that sold lemon flavored ice cream.  My father loved it and would eat a half gallon in one sitting! Those were wonderful memories for me, with my dad. We lived a simple life,  in the Irvington neighborhood in Indpls.  We attended a church off of 21st Street (Windsor Village Baptist Church),  where a Lindner's store sat on the corner of Pasadena Ave and where the boys in the youth group would sneak out of church and hang out at Lindners until church was over.   So thank you for being a part of my childhood.  My father died long ago, when I was 12,  in 1979.  I am sure he is up there asking you for some of your famous lemon ice cream.  Wishing I could find some lemon ice cream myself here in Indy!  God bless you and the family and friends you leave behind. Thank you. 



Dear Maxine, I remember you and Bill from Pilates Mat classes at the Hills and I actually did group weight workouts with Bill and instructor Cathy Ryden years ago.  Bill made us all laugh.  Thinking and praying for you dear Maxine.  God Bless.  Sharon Peruffo

Dear Maxine, I will always remember the fun times we had together with Bill and you in Rebecca's conditioning class on Tues, Thur and Saturdays. I always knew class would be extra fun when I saw you two there. I so admired how you and Bill were living life to the fullest - dancing, travelling, going to UT Forum, etc. I remember how you always prepared food according to Bill's dietary needs and preferences, which was so thoughtful. I loved his - and your - sense of humor. I'm so sorry for your loss. And Lindner family, please accept my condolences, thoughts and prayers.



I remember all the good times we had on trips with Bill and Maxine, River Cruises to Holland and Belgium and also Down the Danube.  Bill was always fun and although a Vegan he know how to charm the waitress to bring him the right food.  Also there was lots of fun times in Beaver Creek, Colorado.  Bill was always the manager of the projector for the movies on the big screen at Maxine's house.  I thank Bill for driving me to Denver the night my husband has his stroke.  Always a kind man.  Bill we will miss you.  Barbara Wallace



I was in a group fitness class with Bill and Maxine for several years at the Hills Fitness Center.  Bill always had us laughing and was always upbeat and working to stay fit and healthy.  I will truly miss him.





My acquaintance with Bill began at Riverbend Church and continued in dance classes at Go Dance and then at the UT Forum.  I never saw Bill when he wasn't smiling; he was so friendly and upbeat.  He and Maxine were a delightful twosome.  I extend my condolences to the family and all who will miss his presence, especially Maxine.

Dear Lindner Family,
Although I did not know W.H. Lindner--I do know his son John LIndner.  From my knowledge of knowing John, I am sure that his father was an exceptional man because he raised and amazing son.  John is a loving, empathetic, and powerful human being--surely a son his Dad was very proud to call his own.  My condolences to the Lindner family.  Sincerely, Mary Dee Schmidt
