William Frank Driskill born July 13, 1940 to Frank and Rose Driskill, died Sunday of complications from primary pulmonary hypertension. He recently retired from the Associated General Contractors of Texas after 40 years with them, most of those years as Executive Director of the Highway Branch. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Judy; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Randy Haynes and adored only grandchild, Chloe. He also leaves nephews Tim Driskill and Scott Irvin; niece, Sarah Driskill; sister-in-law and her husband, Susan and Derrel Irvin; brother, Robert Driskill and favorite cousin, Myron Boyd. Bill loved to hunt, fish and entertain. He cherished his lifelong friends, Winston, Tom and Ned and all other partners in crime from the O.C. Fisher ranch and more recent bayhouse buddies from Demi John Island. We will miss his quick wit and generous spirit, but know all his loved ones are now guarded from above and will someday be greeted again with a cocktail and a hearty laugh from Big Willie. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at First Presbyterian Church, 8001 Mesa Dr, Austin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice. Obituary and guestbook online at wcfish.com
