Willie Earl Brooks

On October 10, 1949, Willie James Brooks and Tommie Lee Brooks gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, and named him Willie Earl Brooks. Willie Earl attend Austin Public Schools L.L. Campbell Elementary, Kealing Junior High and L.C. Anderson high School – “Yellow Jackets” – where he graduated class of 1968. He also attended college. Willie Earl accepted Christ at an early age at Sweet Home Baptist Church in Clarksville; there he was baptized under the leadership of Rev. Holland. Willie rededicated his life and became a member at New Life Church in Los Angeles. Willie was employed at Monarch Paper Company for many years, and also was a co-worker for his dad’s nightclub, Cicero’s. From there he began his trucking company, ultimately retiring due to his health issues.
Willie Earl Brooks was preceded in death by his father, Willie J. Brooks, mother Tommie L. Brooks, sister, Doris M. Brooks Alexander, brother, Stanley B.Collins, and a very special cousin, Robert Edward Wilson, Jr.
Willie Earl leaves to cherish his memories: two sisters, Ruby Morris of Los Angeles, CA and Engritt Machell Brooks of Austin, TX; two stepchildren, Brandy Conley of South Carolina and Reno Dudley (Brandi) of Round Rock, TX; One Grandson, Brandyn Conley; nieces Lynn D. Brooks, Keitchra L. Randel (Sedrick), Tambra Na Vikki Roger (James), Toshanque Brooks of Houston, TX, Sarah Morris of Victorville, CA, and Paulette Russell of Atlanta, GA; nephews Isaac Morris of Los Angeles, CA, Tarron S. Brooks of Houston,TX, Derick Collins, Gregory Collins, Aundoy Thomas, Broderick and Darvis Marshall, all of Austin,TX
One very special niece, Kayla Randel of Austin,TX; one very special cousin, Col. Louis R. Clark (Mirian) of El Paso, TX, four great nephews, Dillon Brooks of Houston, TX, Kevin (Tiffani), Corey and Jamal Brooks, all from Austin,TX; four great-great nephews, Tahj, Phoenix, Amir and Amil Brooks, all of Austin, TX; two great-great- nieces, Kori M. Brooks and Hyacinth Brooks, both of Austin, TX; Special cousins The Wilson and Clark families, and a host of family and friends.
