Zulema’s parents, Maria and Usbaldo Hinojosa welcomed her into the world on Friday, October 18, 1968. Zulema attended school at Asherton High School and Southwest Texas Junior College and later worked as a Customer Service Supervisor for the City of Austin. In her free time, she enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns, and being outdoors whether it was camping or playing sports.
Zulema was preceded in death by her parents Maria and Usbaldo Hinojosa. She is also survived by Grandsons: Mickey Robert Flores and Noah Joel Flores; Sisters: Edna Guerra (Eusevio) of New Braunsfels, TX, Elsa H. Garza (Robert) of Austin, TX, and Zelia Flores (Ernest III) of Carrizo Springs, TX; Brother Jeffrey D. Hinojosa of Manchaca, TX; Mother-in-law Beatriz C. Flores of Austin, TX; Sisters-in-law: Sylvia Flores of Austin, TX and Cynthia Flores of Crystal City, TX; Brother-in-law Jose D. Flores Jr. (Lorena) of Austin, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered for being a great friend, caring person, loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Serving as pallbearers are: Rena Avila, Ernest Flores IV, Ethan Flores, Robert Lee Garza, Juan C. Gonzalez, Isaac J. Perez, Mickey Robert Flores and Noah Joel Flores.
A private visitation for Zulema will be held Sunday, January 30, 2022 at 4:00PM, with a public visitation to follow at 5:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749.
A rosary service will occur Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749.
A funeral mass will occur Monday, January 31, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at St. Paul Catholic Church, 10000 David Moore Dr, Austin, TX 78748.
A committal service will occur Monday, January 31, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749. A reception will occur Monday, January 31, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749.
