Peacefully after a brief illness on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the age of 77. Survived by her beloved husband Donal. Devoted mother to Michael (Stephanie). Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Siobhan, Aodhan and Loughlin. Predeceased by her parents Austin and Elizabeth and her siblings Gilbert (Irene), Helen (Arthur), Cornelius (Vera), Austin (Ruby), Adrian and Chris (Gladys). Lovingly remembered by her sisters Mary (James McKeown) and Elizabeth. She will be truly missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends both in Canada and in Ireland. A lady with a tender heart, a warm and generous spirit, she was loved by all who met her. Well remembered as a great supporter of many Irish organizations including the Ottawa Gaels Gaelic Football Club, Irish Society of Ottawa, Irish Drop-in Centre Ottawa, Irish dancing group, etc. Visitation will be held at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Beauchamp Funeral Home, 47 Denise Friend, Gatineau (Aylmer) on Monday, February 15 from 3pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm. Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 16 at 11am at St. Mark the Evangelist Church,160 rue Principale, Gatineau (Aylmer). Donations in lieu of flowers to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
