

She was the daughter of the late Mélina Rockburne and the late Armand Valiquette and the loving partner of the late Robert Brisebois.
Born in Ottawa, Claudette lived primarily in Aylmer, Quebec and was the head cashier at the local grocery store for many years. She is well known to local residents and will be remembered by her customers as the friendly smiling lady at the supermarket. She will be fondly remembered by her family and friends.
Beloved mother of David Séguin (Louise MacKenzie) of Smiths Falls and Theresa Séguin (Brian Knapp) of Kingston. Proud grandmother of Sean and Jesse Barclay (sons of Theresa) of Ottawa, Steve Séguin (son of David) of Ottawa, Leanna Chartrand (daughter of Linda) of Gatineau, Quebec. Claudette also leaves behind her brother, Lionel Patrick Valiquette (Shirley) of Ottawa, three great grandchildren: Ella Catherine Séguin, Kaylie and Brooke Chartrand as well as many nephews, nieces and friends.
Claudette was predeceased by her daughter Linda Lee Séguin and her sisters Florie Anderson of Ottawa, Theresa Till of Mississauga, Cécile Menard of Ottawa and Alice Prud’homme of Ottawa.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
