Born on May 6, 1969, Katherine was the beloved daughter of Alan Aldred and the late Diane Hay. She leaves in great sorrow her loving husband Kelvin Prosyk, and their cherished daughter Grace, to whom she passed on her strength, kindness, and love for life.
Kate was a thoughtful, resilient and nurturing woman. She found balance in long-distance running, tranquility in hiking, and quiet fulfillment in tending to her vegetable garden, where she cultivated life with patience and care. Travel was one of her greatest joys — with her family, she explored the wonders of Costa Rica and Belize, trekked in Iceland, and fulfilled a dream by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro alongside her husband. A lover of nature, awed by sunsets, she carried in her heart the colors green and red, symbols of life, warmth, and passion.
Kate leaves behind her dear friends Carla Ventin and Lise Arseneau, along with many other friends and family members, all deeply touched by her gentle spirit, bright smile, and sincere generosity.
Katherine sowed love around her just as she did in her garden — with care, patience, and hope. Her memory will live on in every tender gesture, every shared laugh, and every trace of beauty she left behind.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Beauchamp Funeral Home, located at 47 Denise-Friend, Aylmer, QC J9H 3A8. The family will receive condolences starting at 10:00 a.m.
During the service, a basket will be placed beside the table with Kate’s ashes. While we are not requesting flowers, you are warmly invited to bring a wildflower, a leaf, or another small offering from nature to honour Kate’s memory. These gestures can be placed in the basket as a simple tribute to her spirit.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Breast Cancer Progress Society: https://breastcancerprogress.ca
