Lana was a longtime friend, we met in high school and remained in contact ever since. I was recently shocked to learn about her passing when I didn't hear from her for a while not realizing she had left this world. 
In the seventies, Lana and I shared an apartment and both worked in Montreal downtown at different companies. We occasionally would meet for lunch, most of the time for Chinese food. Lana was a great cook, but didn't like to do dishes. For me it was worth it, since the food was great.
Even though we eventually lived in different cities and did not see each other for a while, we always kept in touch. Lana had a great sense of humour and we mostly kept in touch through social networking,  mainly Facebook and Messenger. 
I will sincerely miss Lana, she left us for a better world where pain and diseases do not exist. Lana, rest in peace my dear friend, one day we will meet again!
