I would like to extend my sincere condolences to Maurice’s family. I worked in the same organization and although we did not work side by side, we often crossed paths during the workday. Maurice was a true gentleman, who always had a smile and a kind word to share. His presence will be missed.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss. Moe touched the lives of a lot of people. I had the distinct pleasure of serving with Moe from the first day we joined the military in Basic Training, doing our trades training in Kingston, to our first posting in Gander, NF. Moe was a great man and incredible human being, and I consider myself to be a better person for having known him. He always had a smile on his face, and who will ever forget that jovial laugh. His passing has been extremely difficult for me. I continue to celebrate his life by thinking about all the good times and laughs we shared together; I will cherish those forever. Until our paths cross again, RIP my friend.

My sinceres condolences to the family. When I heard the sad news all I could think about was the fun times we had together while serving in Newfoundland in the early 90s. There was never a dull moment with Moe. What a great person he was. he will surely be missed by all. RIP my friend!

(English translation below)

Salut mon chum. Veuillez accepter mes sincères sympathies.

I’ve had the pleasure to serve with Moe in Gander, where we first met, and then the Signals Regiment in Kingston. My wife and I quickly became friends with Maurice and shared countless laughs throughout the years. Moe had the perfect sense of humour for the army and its sometimes difficult situations: witty, caustic, sarcastic at times, but never mean. Everyone loved him and it was a pleasure to work with him. I have many anecdotes but some are not suitable for this note! We’ve lost touch over the years as it sadly happens sometimes. However, I have nothing but fond memories of Moe, and the mere mention of his name when his name came up in conversations with common friends years after the fact brought smiles to everyone’s faces. He had a positive impact in my life and that of many others. Salut mon chum. Sincerest condolences to all the Renaud family and friends.

What a sad day for everyone who knew this amazing man. We worked together at DND and i considered him a friend. He was loyal and so respectful and the biggest protector of the ones he loved. When i first met Moe, his smile was the thing that stuck out , he had a positive attitude and an amazing joking personality. He will be truly missed and I know hes not too far away. ❤😔
