Predeceased in 2002 by his wife of 41 years, Peggy (née Lawless). Son of the late Joseph Mulligan and the late Sister Mary Josephine Mulligan (née O’Reilly, who joined the Sisters of St. Joseph of Pembroke after her husband’s death). Loving father to Sean (Grace), Stephen (Mariana), Patrick (Lise), Father Philip, Matthew (Renee), Mary (John Zwicker), Theresa (Chris Recoskie), and Todd. Cherished grandfather of Adrian, Darren, Jonathan, Mara, Ryan, Mary, Hannah, James, Joseph, Christa, Jacob, Joachim, Michael, Rachael, and Ronan. Great-grandfather to Filippo, Domenico, and one on the way. Predeceased by his siblings Edgar (late Elise), Terrence (late Beth; late Darlene), Athol (late Margaret), Sister Josephine, Francis (late Edith), Andrew, Joseph (late Ruth), Elizabeth (late Bert Laronde), Billy (late Ardel), Brother Barney,OMI, and John (late Margaret). Survived by his sister, Sister Mary Mulligan, gsic. Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Philip spent most of his adult life in Aylmer, but he always held a very special place in his heart for his hometown of Quyon, Quebec. He cherished the many fond memories of growing up on the family farm and of the people who lived there. He loved sharing stories from the old days and had an uncanny ability to trace the roots of almost every family in the area.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 7, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 160 Principale Street, Gatineau (Aylmer sector), Quebec. The family will receive condolences at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
