He was the son of the late William Douglas McGillivray and the late Kathleen Ruth Thwaites and predeceased by his brother Scott. Brian leaves behind his beloved children, Tracy (Randy) and Lee Ann (Ulrik), as well as his four grandchildren, William, Jacob, Penelope and Graham, who were a great source of joy and pride for him.
He also leaves behind his siblings: Wayne (Bev), Lyle (Cindy), Brent (Maureen), Dawn (Dale) and Stephen (Michelle), as well as many family members and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Friday, September 4, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Beauchamp funeral home, located at 47 Denise-Friend Street, Aylmer, Quebec J9H 3A8. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. at the same location.
Following the service, the burial will take place at Bellevue Cemetery, located at 1030 Aylmer Road, Gatineau, Quebec J9H 5V2.
Afterwards, the family invites relatives and friends to join them for a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion, Aylmer Branch 033, located at 59 Bancroft Street, Gatineau, Quebec J9H 4N6.
