Was this person an Air Force vet that served in the First Mobile Comm. Group ? If so he was my close friend over there.

Ben and I were in the Air Force's First Mobile Communications Group in the late 60's.  He was a true patriot and hero in my eyes.  He spent valuable time in Laos during the secret war there and untimately escaped to Savannakhet on the border when the North Vietnamese overran his outpost. Most folks will never know about his courage.  I'm sorry that I'm so late with my memory of Ben.  My wife and I were fortunate to see him in the summer of 2011, and he and his wife were most gracious in hosting us for the day at their home.

Pete and I didn t know of Benny s passing and we are still devastated by his passing. There aren't t many people like Benny on this earth and that is too bad for us.

I have known Benny since I was a little girl when he and my dad played football together.  My father and Benny have been lifelong friends. I can not imagine this world without Benny in it.  He was a truly remarkable man and will be missed tremendously.

I spent the last 16 years with Benny, we travelled the business world together, we had great times together, he told me every thing he did in his life, every day was a different story, and the story's kept coming, he had an unbelievable life and I am blessed to be part of it. We were partners in Iron Eagle. I will never forget Benny Reyes...............

Benny was a great guy & hilarious too. He would stop our house when I was a kid on the weekends mostly to hang out with my dad.Most of the time I'd answer the door & he would show up in a different wild & zany hat nearly everytime. Always kept you laughing. He will be sorely missed by all of us in the Cinelli family.

I first met Benny 59 years ago in 1954 in Mrs Flemings 2nd grade class at Santapogue School. A better friend you could not ask for. He was like family. WE had a lot of good times before going into the service in(1964)and after.You will be missd and alway in my heart.

Joe Robbins called me to say Benny had died. I am deeply sadden by his passing. Benny was one of characters from high school who has been one of the best, lasting memories. He was funny and kind to a skinny kid who couldn't play football. Benny was the top athlete I wish I could have been. I tried to beat him in "wildest boxer shorts" contest, but he won that with valentine hearts - it's a guy locker room thing. I'll miss him not being there in June. I hope to finish that boxer contest with you in heaven. God Bless You.

A very kind and generous man who will always be remembered.

Benny was a wonderful man.  Jim and I met  Benny in the Villages Florida.  He was instantly a friend.  He bought me a Irish Girl shirt that was way to small but I loved him for thinking about me.  He also gave me a wonderful donation for the Down Syndrome walk. We are sorry we did not know him years ago.
 I loved having him for dinner and we remember him for his great smile and fun heart.

I knew Benny through my brother Mike, they played football together for the West Babylon Eagles.  He always wore a smile and though I was quite a bit younger, he gave me his attention.  GOD must have needed another Angel at home.  GOD speed Benny!

You know in life when you meet somebody as special as Benny was! I grew up with him being my brothers best friend. I knew the man as a very caring man,special man always positive and non judgemental of anyone only asking if he can help!My brother Jack was right, there will never be another Benny. A very dear friend has left us much to soon and the world will just not be the same. He enriched the lives of those he touched. Thank you for everything Brother, you will never be forgotten.

What can I say? He was my friend. He was my brother.
It was a privilege to know this man for the last thirty plus
years. My life will never be the same with Ben's passing.

His smile was infectious, his laugh unmistakeable, his attitude remarkable and his will unbreakable, when I received a call today informing me of Benny's passing the memories all came rushing back.  I had not seen or talked to Benny in over thirty five years but after looking at the photos it's like it was just yesterday.   Benny always made me laugh and always made me feel like a true friend.  My prayers and thoughts go out to his closest friends and more importantly to his wife and daughter and their family.  Benny will be missed dearly by all, but there is no doubt he will not be forgotten....

What was not to like about Benny?  Always made you feel good about yourself, very engaging and always communicating.  He loved people, loved those who served our country and was always looking for the next big thing in business and in life.  I will miss Benny!

Benny was a true friend and a  completely unique individual. He was giving, laughing, teasing and tough all rolled into one. I will always remember him as my buddy. My deepest condolences to his family.

I only knew Benny Reyes for a short time (69-71 or so),he was my best friends older brother's best friend. When Jack would come home on Leave, or when they finally came home from serving our country.We would play touch football on Dave's front lawn, he was a fun loving great guy in the time I knew him . May he Rest in Peace I know he will be missed.

Ben was the most awesome uncle a guy could ask for...a great big teddy bear with a smile as wide as Manhattan. As John Donne said "any man's death diminishes me"...and so a part of ourselves has left us in life...knowing that the mosaic we become has that special part of Ben in it. We are eternally grateful...

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

I moved to West Babylon in the summer of 1960 and first met Ben when were became team mates playing Babe Ruth Baseball for Calvert Realty. Through our high school years and after our military service Ben became Uncle Benny to my family, was Godfather to my son and attended every major life event in our family from weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and funerals, even when we lived far apart. Ben and I often spoke of our relationship as being closer than family and I considered him my brother. Not a week went by when we didn't speak on the phone to check in on each other.  He and Mickey even built their Florida home right next to me and I loved when they came to town. Wealth can be measured in many ways along with generosity.  Ben's Wealth was his ability to touch so many lives through his friendship and his undying generosity to so many people and causes.  God broke the mold when he created Benny, and now he has called him back to his just reward.  We will miss you Uncle Benny, keep the game going upstairs, you have lots of team mates coming!

A gentle giant of a man who touched the lives of many.  His kindness and work to help bring the vision of the Native American Medicine Wheel to Northport VAMC in 2004 endures.  He will be deeeply missed.  Love and comfort to his family always.

I remember Benny very well from our High School Days in West Babylon as the most caring of individuals.  My condolences.
