

The daughter of Robert and Margaret Henry, Ceil was born October 21 1956 on her dad's birthday at Mercy Hospital, Rockville Centre, New York. She attended Saint Martha Elementary School in Uniondale.
Ceil graduated from Maria Regina Diocesan High School and Nassau Community College where she began her journey on a life of service to others, volunteering for the college's Crisis Hot Line.
She was married in 1980 to Richard, her husband of 42 years, and spent the early years of her marriage in the Merrick and Bellmore area and was blessed with two children, Sean in 1981 and Alison in 1987.
In 1996 Cecilia earned a bachelor's degree in the field of Child Development from Saint Joseph's College in Patchogue.
Ceil and Rich shared a love of travel, the outdoors, the theater, and professional baseball (let's go Yankees!) Her tastes in the arts were eclectic, ranging from folk music to jazz, to classical, to New Age. She loved ballet and musical theater was an avid reader, loved spending time at the beach with her cousin Lynn, and spent hours working jigsaw puzzles and Sudoku.
Ceil was a woman of immense faith and volunteered tirelessly at Our Lady of Grace Church, where she has been a parishioner since 1990.
In December 2022 she was diagnosed with stage 4 Esophageal cancer against which she fought a brief but heroic battle, making her journey to heaven on Valentine's Day 2023.
Cecilia was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Margaret (Joyce) and her youngest brother Brian. She is survived by her husband Richard, her children Sean (Kimberly) and Alison (Paul Auer) and her grandchildren, Riley Jane and Ella Bridget Campbell and Alexandre Glenn Auer. She is also survived by her sister, Joyce (Neal Kueny) and her brothers Bob (Pam), Greg (Christine), Tim (Carolyn Antone) and her beloved nieces and nephews; David Kueny, Bobby, John and Lisa Henry, Michael and Ryan Henry, and Bobby Grillo and Victoria Matos.
Cecilia lived a life of love, selflessness, and service. May her life and her example never be forgotten.
A visitation for Cecilia will be held Monday, February 20, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A visitation will occur Monday, February 20, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace RC Church, 666 Albin Avenue, W. Babylon, New York. An interment will occur Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 11:30 AM at St Charles Cemetery, 2010 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, New York 11735.
