Helen Guglielmo was a remarkable woman whose life was defined by devotion to her family, creativity, and a profound love of history. She shared 50 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, John, whom she married on July 12, 1975. Together, they built a strong and loving family, raising their children and later welcoming several cherished grandchildren.
Helen had a deep appreciation for the past and believed strongly in the importance of knowing where one comes from. She served as the family historian, dedicating countless hours to researching genealogy, preserving records, and sharing stories that connected generations. Her passion for history was not only academic, but personal—through her careful research, she traced her lineage back to the Mayflower and proudly held membership in both the Mayflower Society and as a Daughter of the American Revolution. She took great joy in passing this knowledge on to her family, ensuring that their heritage would never be forgotten.
In addition to preserving history through records and stories, Helen created tangible expressions of love through her work as a seamstress. She lovingly crafted quilts and Afghans for her family, each one made with care and intention, becoming heirlooms in their own right—woven with warmth, tradition, and memory.
Helen will be remembered for her curiosity, her dedication to preserving the past, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy lives on not only in the generations she nurtured, but in the history she so carefully honored and preserved.
Helen is survived by her beloved husband John; Her children: Harry (Maria), Maureen (Jim), Elizabeth (Dennis); Stepchildren: John ( Patti), James (Sondra), Christopher (Yolanda); Grandchildren: Melissa ( Kyle), Christina, Rae- Anne (Tom), Tyler, Grace, Alex, Jamie, Michael, Andrew, Nora, and Liana.
