Irene Bladykas

Irene Bladykas, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 25th, 2024 at 80 years old. Born in Germany, Irene was a cherished member of her family and the community.

Irene's life was marked by love, devotion, and compassion. She shared a beautiful 52-year marriage with her soulmate, Stephen, with whom she built a warm and loving home. Together, they raised four daughters who were the pride of her life: Carol (Angelo), Jennifer (Saul), Amy, and Catherine. Irene's legacy continues through her many grandchildren: Nicholas, Michael, Christopher, Matthew, Madison, Elias, Emma, Alexander, Valerie, Lyanna, and Kayla; and great-grandchildren: Avery, Alexzander and Tyriek who brought her immense joy and countless cherished moments.

Irene was known for her gentle spirit and kind heart. She had a deep passion for caring for plants, finding joy in nurturing them and watching them thrive. In her free time, she delighted in putting together puzzles and could often be found with a captivating Harry Potter movie on in the background, a testament to her playful and imaginative nature.

Irene's love, kindness, and unwavering strength will be missed deeply by all who knew her. Her family and friends take comfort in knowing that she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Rest in peace, Irene. You will always be loved and remembered.

A funeral mass for Irene will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 666 Albin Ave, West Babylon, NY 11704. Following the funeral mass will be an inurnment from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at St. Charles / Resurrection Cemeteries, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
