

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of JoAnn, a cherished wife, devoted mother, and beloved grandmother. JoAnn departed this world on February 2nd, 2024, reuniting with her husband of 37 years, Philip, who predeceased her after years of shared love and companionship. She was greeted in heaven by her mother and father, Rose and Vito and sister, Vita.
Born on November 4th, 1954, JoAnn's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and unwavering strength. She was the proud mother of three sons, Nicholas, Michael, and Devin, who were the center of her world. Her role as a mother was not just a title; she embraced it with grace, dedication, and boundless love. JoAnn often referred to herself as a "Bull", a testament to her strength and resilience that guided her through life's challenges.
Family was everything to JoAnn, and her love extended to her granddaughter Sienna Rose, who brought immense joy and laughter into her life. The bond they shared was a source of warmth and comfort to JoAnn, and her legacy lives on through the love she poured into each generation. JoAnn is survived by: Her sons Nicholas and his wife Allissa, Michael and his partner Jhoselyn, Devin and his partner Samantha; Her sisters: Renee and her husband Bill, Lisa and her husband John, Laura and her husband Dan; Her beloved Niece and Nephews.
Known for her sense of humor, JoAnn had a unique ability to bring laughter into any room. Her infectious spirit and witty remarks endeared her to all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was more than a mother; she was the world's best mom, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched.
May she rest in eternal peace. JoAnn's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
A visitation for JoAnn will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Claude R. Boyd - Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W Main St, Babylon, New York 11702. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 11:15 AM at SS Cyril and Methodius RC Church, 125 Half Hollow Rd, Deer Park, New York 11729.
