Maria Commisso

Maria Commisso, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2024, in West Babylon, New York. Born in Italy on May 28, 1950, Maria was the cherished daughter of Salvatore and Elizabeth.

She was united in marriage to Luigi A. Commisso for 56 wonderful years. Together, they built a loving family and a life full of cherished memories. Maria was the devoted mother of Lisa Coppola (Luigi), Diane Peterson (Christian), and Anna Commisso. She was also a proud and adoring grandmother to Nicholas, Matthew, Leah, Anthony, Allison, and Aidan.

Maria's warmth, kindness, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew her. Her family and friends will remember her for her grace, her vibrant spirit, and her enduring strength.

Maria Commisso will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A visitation for Maria will be held Monday, August 12, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at Claude R. Boyd/Spencer Funeral Homes, 448 West Main Street, Babylon, NY 11702. A visitation will occur Monday, August 12, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 448 West Main Street, Babylon, NY 11702. A mass will occur Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 666 Albin Ave, West Babylon, NY 11704. An entombment will occur Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Charles / Resurrection Cemeteries, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
