Michael A. Casalini departed his family on July 9, 2024 at the age of 56. Born and raised in Lake Grove, NY, Michael lived for most of his life on Long Island surrounded by family and friends. He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1985 where he became a Sergeant and Certified Airforce Mechanic.
He was a fearless entrepreneur, founding Bridge Capital Solutions in 2006 and building it into a prestigious financial services institution on Long Island. He went on to lead two more successful companies, establishing a legacy that will continue to live on.
More than anything, he was most proud to be a father and grandfather. He fiercely loved his two children, Farah and Anthony; his granddaughter Noel; his stepchildren, Kristin and Jeanine; and his step-grandchildren, Ava, Quinn, Jameson, Jordan, and soon-to-be Lucy; and he loved his pets enormously, Cini, Pippa, and Mezzi.
He had a large and eccentric family, but he was always willing to recruit others to become his chosen family. Michael loved to celebrate their accomplishments and milestones and was quick to lend a hand in times of need. He was a friend, confidante, and unwavering pillar of strength to many, and you could always count on him to answer the phone.
He loved skiing, boating, his Trans-Am, intolerably spicy food, movies, the Yankees, cooking elaborate meals (especially his famous Thanksgiving stuffing), and traveling the world with friends and family. He was also a craftsman who frequently took on carpentry projects in his garage, including the single-handed renovation of his kitchen - though these projects often went awry. Fear not, though - he always had a plan to fix it.
He was endlessly curious, incredibly generous, and a person anyone would love to have by their side. He could make you laugh in moments of tension and his laughter brought enormous comfort to all who knew him. He will be forever missed.
He is preceded in death by his father, Andrew, and is survived by his mother, Francesca, his siblings, Andrew, Elizabeth, Matthew, and Daniel, his children, grandchild, step-children, and step-grandchildren.
