There are no Comforting words of Wisdom to convey how deeply I sympathize in the loss of your Dear Father Peter.
You both already know how Fiercely he Loved Both of you, as well as his Grandchildren and of course your Beautiful Mother Jean. That Love continues and Multiplies knowing there is another Angel to watch over you.
There's an old saying that a person has passed due to a Broken Heart.  I have No Doubt that this is most certainly true about your Father.

We grew up a block away from each other in Lindenhurst NY, Pete on N Delaware & me on N Clinton. Our parents were good friends, especially our Mothers, each having 2 more sons of the same age. The youngest of the brothers Anthony (Pete's) & Johnny (mine) remain the closest of friends to this day.
Pete's Mom would visit my Mom when she was home from the hospital during her long battle with cancer.
Pete went to Public elementary while I went to OLPH, we were back together in Lindenhurst High School Class of 1969.
Though we did not see each other often after high school, each time we met Pete's Generous Smile, Hearty Hug & Firm Hand Shake were a Guarantee.  RIP Pete, you will be missed.

So sorry to Rachel and the whole family.  We loved Pete so much 💘🌸🙏!  We will miss him at all Local 282 meetings and celebrations. His beautiful smile is ever embossed in our memories.  He’s certainly been reunited with his beautiful wife Jean.  We know how much he missed her.  Love, Pete Ferrera and family
