Richard Connors

Richard Connors, 83, entered into eternal life on February 29, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Mary Brudi Connors, and is predeceased by his wives Maria Cunningham Connors and Lee Ross Connors. Beloved father of Debbie DeLuca (Al), Coleen, Kelly Knapp (Jim), and stepfather of Eddie Cunningham (Elizabeth), Jennifer Cunningham, Bill Brudi (Christine), and the late Bobby Brudi. Cherished grandfather of Krystina, Ali (Colin), Katie, Joey, Jacqueline, Crystal, Tiana, Vanessa, Billy and Catherine. Dear great-grandfather of Connor, Jack, Caleb, and Zoey. Loving brother of Denis Connors. Richard is also survived by many loving nephews, nieces and cousins. Richard was a sheet metal foreman for Triangle Sheet Metal in New Hyde Park and also the owner of RDR Laundry. In his spare time, he loved to go boating on the Great South Bay and family weekends at Atlantique. He enjoyed going out to dinner with family and friends, where he loved to laugh and enjoy cocktails. For many years, Richard was an avid golfer and he loved to say, “let the good times roll” and “the more the merrier!” Richard’s favorite restaurant was The LakeHouse in Bay Shore, where he always enjoyed a rare steak and a glass of wine. Above all, he loved that he was a Connors and cherished his Irish heritage. He will be missed by each of the lives he touched. Family will receive friends at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main Street, Babylon, Monday, March 2, 2020, 2-4:30pm & 7-9:30pm. Funeral mass 10am Tuesday, March 3, 2020, Saint Patrick’s RC Church, Bay Shore. Entombment to follow at Saint Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale.
