Robert C. Kalpin

Robert C. Kalpin, 93, of Bay Shore, formerly of Babylon, entered into Eternal Life on Friday, December 5, 2025. Proud United States Army veteran. He was born on December 28, 1931, in Somerville, New Jersey, to the late John and Amelia (Nadolnia) Kalpin. Beloved partner of Bei-Di Dai. Devoted father of Robert Kalpin and Robin A. Kalpin. Adored grandfather of Nicholas, Nicole, Isabella and Luciano. Cherished brother of Arthur Kaplin. Predeceased by his son, Scott, as well as his grandson, Scott, his siblings, John, Fred, Will, Olga, Ray, and Adam, as well as his former spouse, Arlene B. (Cardali) Kalpin. Before his retirement, Robert was a draftsman for Gibbs & Hill, and later on, Ebasco, in New York City. In his retirement years, Robert loved golfing and gardening, as well as cherishing the countless hours he dedicated to his service in the Babylon Fire Department. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by each life that he touched. A memorial visitation will take place at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main Street, Babylon, Sunday, December 14, 2025, 2:00 PM-6:00 PM. Closing prayers 9:00 AM Monday, December 15, 2025, at the funeral home. Inurnment to follow at Long Island National Cemetery, 2040 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's memory can be made to the Babylon Fire Department.
