Born on "April Fool's Day" in Auburn New York.

Daughter to Harry Alonzo Salley, and Viola Marie Pelkey.

She was the oldest of Five Siblings

Married To Harold "Robbie" Roberson for 34 years,

Mother of 5 children, Grandmother of 10 "and countless others",

Great Grandmother of 9.

Mom a Gypsy at heart spent many a hour on the road.

Moving family to places including Page, AZ,

Redding, CA, Whidbey Island, WA, Petersburg & Valdez, AK,

Bakersfield, California, Utah, Idaho.

Always, returning, from time to time to Bakersfield.

A woman of many interest including reading, crafts,

ceramics, knitting/crocheting, boating with and adventurous

side that included white water rafting, Hot Air Balloon rides

and enjoyed playing card games. She visited every

state at one time or another.

Her travels and experience of life afforded her the

ability to share many stories and mentor many.

That enduring quality made her know

she was loved as Grandma Joan.
