Steven Miles Edwards

November 14, 1982 - October 11, 2011

Steven Miles Edwards, born to Robert Perry and Jacqueline Josephine Edwards on November 14, 1982 in Delano, CA Steven attended high school in Alpaugh, CA and then West High in Bakersfield, and DeVry University in Southern California. It's difficult to sum up Steven's life in a few short paragraphs. All of you that knew Steven already know of his accomplishments, his kindness and his abilities. To those of you that did not know this fine young man, he was a son any father and mother could be proud of, a father any son or daughter could look up to, a brother to all that knew him well, and a man that a wife can trust in.

Steven excelled quickly in everything he did, he had patience and wisdom, along with a great smile and a look in his eyes that you could trust. A man with integrity that held his head high and would look you in the eye when he gave you his word. His respect for society, the law, and his christian beliefs led him thru his short life on a path of success. His geatest loves were his children, Kynden, Miles and Jaxen. He sought to instill his qualities of life and respect for elders in them. His selfless devotion to his family was admirable. His family was his everything, Nicole, Kynden, Miles and Jaxen.

Steven was preceded in death by his mother Jacqueline and his paternal grandfather Bob Edwards. He is survived by his fiance Nicole Cox, his children Kynden, Miles and Jaxen, paternal grandmother Joy Edwards, father Perry Edwards, sister Amy Edwards and Jacob Edwards who he considered his big brother. Maternal grandparents Ed and Bea Combs, his grandfather John Lopez and "Uncle Steve" his favorite uncle, his nephew Joshauh Marquez, niece Kamiah Bell, the Bennett family, also many aunts, uncles, and cousins to numerous to the mention, most all of his relatives lived in the Bakersfield, Delano area. The viewing will be on Sat. October 15th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mish Funeral Home-Oildale, 120 Minner Avenue, and funeral services will be on Tuesday, October 18th at 10 a.m. at New Beginnings Church, 1800 Height St. Graveside to follow at Delano Cemetery.
