

Burney was born on September 26, 1966 in Campbellton, NB to the late Delbert Grimes and Mary LeBlanc. He grew up in a loving home with many siblings, Jimmy, Steven, Nathalie (Yves-Michel), Aimee (James) and Stacey.
Burney and Shelly met in fall 1988, they married in 1993. They were happily married for 27 years. He was a proud father to Sarah (Kody) and Colby, who he was always encouraging them to live their best lives and to be happy doing it. He proudly welcomed his first granddaughter Aria in 2022. He was an avid car enthusiast. He had a vast knowledge about anything and everything with an engine. He enjoyed fixing, racing and selling vintage cars. He was a well trusted mechanic, a profession he enjoyed for more than 30 years. he also enjoyed the outdoors, his backyard was his happy place, that’s where he enjoyed the trees, flowers, wildlife and fresh air. He will be greatly missed among friends and family.
Burney leaves behind his children Sarah (Kody) and Colby, his mother Mary LeBlanc. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Other then his wife Shelly, he was predeceased by his father Delbert and his brother Jimmy.
A Graveside service for Burney will be held at St. Benoit Cemetery in Balmoral on Friday, September 27 at 2:00 pm
