Né à Charlo le 20 octobre 1933, fils de feu Stanley Hachey et de feu Yvonne Allard.
Il a travaillé 22 ans comme forgeron au moulin NBIP et plusieurs années pour la compagnie Woodland, ainsi que pour l’entreprise familiale, la Forge à Stanley. Il était un artisan talentueux, un conteur d’histoire et un fabricant d’outils (pickaroon).
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Bernadette Levesque; son fils, Donald (Doreen) de Charlo; sa fille, Pauline de Dalhousie (de feu Robert Gaudreau) ; son fils Guy (Pauline Carrier) de Charlo ; son fils Louis (Amber) de St Jean; ses beau-fils Roger Marcoux (Irene) de Eel River Crossing et Donald Marcoux (Josée) de Moncton ; deux frères, Léo (Phyllis) de Halifax et Camille (Ovilda) de Tracadie; plusieurs petits-enfant ; Jayson, Denis, Jamie, Chantal, Danielle, Megan, Jean-François, Benoit, Kayla, Vaughn, Miracle, Tierry. Un arrière petit-enfant ; Hendrix. Outre ses parents il était prédécédé par sa première épouse Marie-Reine Ouellette, deux frères, Paul et Armand ; une sœur Jeannine Gagnon.
Les funérailles auront lieu à l’Église St. François-Xavier de Charlo, samedi le 25 mai à 14h00.
Visite au Salon Funéraire Maher, 517 ave des Pionniers, Balmoral, vendredi le 24 mai de 14h00 à 16h00 et de 19h00 à 21h00.
Des dons à un organisme de bienfaisance au choix du donneur seraient appréciés par la famille.

Passed away peacefully at home on May 15th, 2019 at the age of 85, Mr. Yvon Hachey of Charlo, husband of Bernadette Levesque.
Born in Charlo on October 20th, 1933, son of the late Stanley Hachey and the late Yvonne Allard.
He worked as a blacksmith at the NBIP Mill for 22 years and at the Woodland's Company, also at the family owned business Stanley's Blacksmith Shop in Charlo. He was an avid story teller, a talented craftsman and a tool maker (pickaroons).
He is survived by his wife, Bernadette Levesque; his son Donald (Doreen) of Charlo; his daughter Pauline (late Robert Gaudreau) of Dalhousie; his son Guy (Pauline Carrier) of Charlo; his son Louis (Amber) of Saint John; two brothers, Léo (Phyllis) of Halifax and Camille (Ovilda) of Tracadie; his step-sons Roger Marcoux (Irene) of Eel River Crossing and Donald Marcoux (Josée) of Moncton; his many grandchildren, Jayson, Denis, Jamie, Chantal, Danielle, Megan, Jean-François, Benoit, Kayla, Vaughn, Miracle and Tierry; one great grand-child, Hendrix. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his first wife Marie-Reine Ouellette, two brothers, Paul and Armand; one sister Jeannine Gagnon.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. François-Xavier Church, Charlo, on Saturday May 25th at 2 pm.
Visitation at the Maher’s Funeral Home, 517, ave des Pionniers, Balmoral, Friday May 24th from 2:00 to 4:00 and from 7:00 to 9:00.
Donations to a charity of the Donor’s Choice would be appreciated by the family.
