Lilly was born in Vienna, Austria and came to the United States as a Holocaust survivor, in 1936. Lilly was a major cancer survivor of nearly 40 years. In her years in Baltimore, she was an active volunteer at the Baltimore Visitors Center and the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Lilly will be remembered fondly for her engaging, charming, and outgoing personality by her family and friends.
Lilly is widowed by her beloved husband the late Charles E. Schlingman; cherished uncle of Charles D. Colett and his wife Rose, Peter Colett and his wife Elaine, and Cary Colett and his wife Joan; treasured great-aunt of Philip Colett, Alexis Colett Santucci, Thomas Colett, Joseph Colett, and Brandon Colett; devoted great-grand aunt of Alexander Colett and Jonah Colett.
