I went to the Benelux countries and Iceland with Bob. He was a terrific travel companion. He loved meeting people from Europe and around the world.

It was a total shock when I learned of Bob's passing.  We shared many wonderful memories together and a piece of my heart will be with him forever.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, especially, Carolyn and Vicky.

We lost a good one, but heaven gained another great one. I will miss you bro.

Bob was a wonderfully kind person.  He gave more than he took.  Bob, rest in sweet peace, my dear friend.  Thanks for all your kind talks, your sweet little laugh, the twinkle in your eye,  all those hand-made Christmas cards, and all the support you gave to Roots Cafe through-out the years. Thanks for the one last hug, too! We will miss you; but are glad your illness took you swiftly to the other side.

My deepest condolences to Bob's family. We were friends a long time ago, and had some good adventures. I greatly regret not keeping in touch. From the pictures, it looks like he made a good life. He was a good man. Mike Schenk

How can I write down in a few words  the love and friendship I shared with my brother Bob. From our childhood memories until our adulthood, Bob was a courageous fun loving man who showed me humor, happiness and a wide range of knowledge. He was a person who loved his family, music, art and travels. I feel so confused of how he was taken from us so early it does not seem fair. I miss him and my heart aches that I did not have enough time to share with my big brother. With all my love your baby sis Vickie

I worked with Bob at Govans DSS.  I was so sorry to hear of his passing.  My sincere sympathy to the family.

Please accept  my heartfelt symapthy of your beloved Bob. He was a genuine and loving person who knew how to cherish the gifts of others. He was sensitive and artisitic. In his work, I remember his staunch advocacy of children- always mindful and caring in his approach. He was devoted to his mother and adored his sisters. May his memory be for a blessing.

We were deeply sorrowed to hear that Bob passed away. He was a great person and everyone at work enjoyed speaking with him. He will be sadly missed and thought of. Sincerest condolences to his family.

My brother and I shared a lifetime of laughter and adventure.  My heart is broken.  I find solace in knowing that I will be able to visit him often, since his wishes were to be buried next to our mom.  Ron and I are the dying breed of people who actually visit the graves of our loved ones, so I will be able to sit in the sunshine and spend time with Bob.  Thank you all for your kind acts of friendship throughout his lifetime.  But I'd like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to all who came to visit him the last few months of his life. I loved my brother. It was simple and uncomplicated.  It was about sharing our lives with one another.  His wishes were to be buried next to our mom, whom he adored.  Since Ron and I are the rare people who regularly visit the graves of our loved ones, I find comfort in knowing I will be able to visit him often.  Thank you all for your kindness and love during his short lifetime.  But mostly, thank you to all who were there when he was so sick and he needed you the most.  Peace, joy, and all good things.
