R.I.P. OM! Although, I had never met Bob in person, we shared many ideas and contacts via HAM radio. His presence within the hobby will definitely be missed.

I am grateful that my father made a home for a comfortable and memorable childhood, where he exposed me to small-time farming, recreation, and bushcraft - things that have influenced my career, aspirations, lifestyle, and some of my deepest held beliefs. I realize that I took for granted that he, like my mother, never pushed me into being something - that he had no argument over what I became, whether that be my profession, lifestyle, or person. At this time I am grateful that he had a circle of friends throughout the world, that kept him company through his life and especially in his most recent years, where he was able to pursue his greatest lifelong passion.

To all, I wish you peace in rememberance of this gentle and mysterious man.

I’d have to look at the divorce papers from my first marriage to even remember when I got married... crazy times, dad was right - my ex was no good for me.
This photo was taken by my sister Mae.

Bob, VE6UX and I had over 200 contacts on Ham Radio. He will be missed. Bob was always willing to try for a contact and always helpful. RIP my friend.

Bob was definitely a one of a kind guy. I often talked to him online or over ham radio through Morse Code. Bob was one of those who told me to learn code and he was there when I first tried it out. There will always be a part of Bob in me while I am on the radio. The world lost a guy with a huge heart and a great friend to many. When I see auroras at night it's going to be a sign of Bob and I'll definitely share a quick story hoping he's listening. We both enjoyed life "up north". Til we meet again. 73 de W0PHX

I'm loosing my buddy, my elmer, my daily chatmate. Hamradio community is loosing a dedicated ham operator, WWFF hunter and most of all a very kind person.
We had a lot of fun together. He skipped his sleep to work me when I was /P in one or another WWFF park. Over 200 times in my log, as well from home as from /P
Bob I'm sure one day we will QSO again. Now RIP mate !

Sorry to hear of you and your family's loss. I sure enjoyed the time I got spend at the farm with you and your family. 90s dance, dial up internet and a Big comet explosion in the dark of night! I really liked your dad and mom. Sending you prayers and love in this time. xo

He got me my first job and I loved every moment working beside him, even though I was 12 and didn't appreciate it much I realise today what an important life lesson he taught me. He even found me my second job and enjoyed night shifts because he would come in and have coffee with me, never missed a night. He made me feel safe setting foot into my own shoes and becoming the person I am today, he was always there watching after me and I know he will not miss a moment because he is with me always.
