Christine, will be forever remembered for the passion and love she weaved into everything she did. Her life began in Calgary, AB on March 11th 1963. After moving, she grew up and enjoyed most of her adult life in Tiger Lily, AB.
She loved to sing. And we loved to listen. Her beautiful voice inspired so many and she gave of it so freely. Her voice was joyful, comforting, and calming; it was what others needed in their moment.
Chris was an exceptional artist. She had an innate sense of beauty and style, so evident in her home and in the art work she created. She lovingly shared this talent with family and friends by creating unique pieces for special occasions.
Chris was strongly devoted to her Faith. She found great joy and purpose in supporting her extended family within the Church. Leading the choir was always such an incredible honour for her.
Chris showed incredible courage, and even good humour, in the face of her illnesses through the years. She defeated cancer twice and embraced life with a heart that cancer had weakened, but love had strengthened.
In the largest of crowds, Chris was present and genuine. She had a smile that reached her eyes and a laugh that drew you in. She took pleasure in the beauty all around her, in the people she loved, and in the simple joys of life.
Above all, her love for her family was limitless. She and Lorne began their love story 37 years ago. She adored and cherished their three children Jonathan (Bailey), Tristen (Troy), Nolan, and was overjoyed to be a Grandmother (“Oma”) to Wyatt, Sawyer, Zander, Ella, Lillian and Gunner.
Chris remains loved by her Mother, Dina Driessen and her siblings; Martin (Madelaine), Adrian, Tina (Randy), Annette, Paul (Chris), Liesbeth (Gary), Stephanie, Monica (Brian) and sisters-in-law Ali and Jo. Chris is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews as well as numerous relatives across the Globe. She is predeceased by her loving Father, Mark Driessen and brother Bert.
