I always admired Colin’s enthusiasm and positive attitude and I will greatly miss him being part of the bridge group.  He was a great mentor and friend to many of us at AECOM.  My deepest condolences to his family and all who knew him.

It is hard to say what I am feeling right at this moment. I am thankful for everything you did for me, for the mentoring and the support through my time in AECOM and under your supervision. I admired you as professional and personal. I admired your honesty, your faithfulness towards your team and the work we could deliver. I am grateful for you and your life, because you will always be in my mind as my bridge inspector mentor and friend. It is sad to see you leave so early. But rest sure that everyone that you touch with your smile and hart admired you, appreciated you and loved you. I pray God for your rest, for your family and friends to remain strong in your memory and for us your crew to continue your legacy and carry on with your love for bridge inspections.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Colin’s passing.

I'm a better person to have worked with him over the past years. He had an engaging presence, a great sense of humor, and a wonderful ability to make the workplace both productive and enjoyable.

Our interactions were marked by friendly banter and quick laughter—he had a gift for making work feel less like work. I will always remember him not just for his professionalism, but for the genuine kindness and good spirit he brought with him.

Quite a few years ago a few boys decided to take a raft trip down the Hart River in Peace River. It was Colin’s idea - my brother did it(he said), it will be fun (he said). They left on a Saturday afternoon and had to be rescued the following Sunday morning. This is a get together after that incident with 4 of the 5 rafters - Jesse Tutt, Rob Porterfield, Tyler Himer &  of course Colin and their parents. Jamie Seetoo is not in the picture.). On this day they were sharing their story which was more fun than the actual raft trip. I will always remember this day with fond memories.  Colin was a great friend to these boys and will surely be missed by all.

Colin was a rare friend with unconditional loyalty.  He made every moment better with his joyous spirit and contagious laugh.  He will be missed.

It was so sad to hear of this tragedy. Colin enjoyed his work at AECOM passionately. My condolences to his family, his children, and coworkers at AECOM. I am grateful to have worked with Colin, and got to know him on AECOM projects we partnered with. Rest in peace Colin, I won't forget you.

Very sorry for your loss, I only sat next to Colin at a work supper  in Bullock's Bistro in Yellowknife only a few short weeks ago.  Always enjoyed speaking with Colin at the coffee machine every now and again, always jovial and a little mischievous he was a character that we will miss for a long time.  RIP.

Winning Bronze with Colin was really great. All through out the hard ship and finally getting some reward was truly satisfying.

I am heartbroken by the loss of my friend Colin. We shared so many moments together—whether it was going to the gym, planning bridge inspections, playing volleyball, or tackling 70ft trees with chainsaws, he always brought energy, laughter, and friendship into everything he did. Colin had a way of making even the toughest jobs feel lighter, and the court will never feel the same without him.

He was the kind of friend you could count on for anything—lifting more than his share, cheering louder than anyone else, or making you laugh when you needed it most. On the court, he was a force to be reconned with; off the court, he was gentle, genuine, and deeply caring.

My thoughts are especially with his three children, who were his pride and joy, and with Courtney, his (volleyball) partner. I know his absence leaves a hole that can never be filled, but I hope his memory brings comfort in time. Colin touched many lives, mine included, and I will carry his friendship with me always.

It is with great sadness I heard about Colin. He was always a good ‘man’ and a good friend to his friends from Glenmary. Sympathies to his family and friends. A good man gone too soon.

To all the family and friends who are affected by the sudden death of Colin. 

I am deeply saddened to hear this news. 

I am reminded when these events eventually happen to all of us that eternal life is a gift we all receive from God by grace.  

Many spiritual words are found in the bible regarding our spirit continues to live after physical death. I believe this and I believe that Colin also believes in eternal life. This gives me comfort and to all those mourning today and the days to come.

I'm deeply saddened to hear about Colin's passing. It's hard to believe that someone so young and full of life is gone. I still remember the good times we shared at Glenmary School in Peace River, AB. Our friendship grew stronger during the regional volleyball tournaments, where we bonded over our passion for the sport.

Even though I'm far away in Brazil, Colin was always on my mind and in my heart. I'll miss him dearly. His passing is a huge loss, and I'm heartbroken that he won't be able to visit me here anymore.

My thoughts are with his wife, children, and family during this difficult time. May God comfort and guide you all, and may Colin's memory be a blessing to you. May he rest in peace, and may his legacy live on through the memories we shared.

To Colin's family, my heart goes out to you all for his sudden passing.  Colin and I worked together for nearly 20 years, and he meant so much to not only me, but everyone at AECOM.  He always had a smile, had the biggest heart and always wanted to take care of his "brothers" on the bridge inspection team.  No matter what we talked about, you always left the conversation with a smile and he always seemed to cheer you up.  I loved working with Colin and truly wanted to support him. I was sad to hear the news and didn’t want to believe it. I had the privilege of working alongside Colin for over 10 years, and he never failed to bring a smile to my face and toward others with his own constant smile and laugh. One of my fondest memories of him was on Halloween, when he spotted a grown man in thr office wearing a Pikachu costume. He leaned over and whispered, “wtf is a Pikachu? and we both couldn’t stop laughing.

Colin, I only ever remember seeing you with a smile.  Your warmth and humour was always present when greeting us at your door. Fun times playing a certain board game while savoring Courtney's delicious dinner and snacks is my favorite memory. I never knew Colin. But Irene, I’ve been thinking a lot about you this week. I think you were my very first friend. I remember feeling so grateful that I had one and that I was so blessed to have a friend like you.  Thankyou from the bottom of my six year old heart and my 47 year old one too. 

It makes me contemplate life and hold on to those closest to me when I see people my age losing loved ones my age.  So I’m going to hold tight and love hard. And find gratitude in everyday.
